Can't download uncompress latest tar?

I can't seem to uncompress latest TAR source. Anyone else having the same problem? The file downloads fine, but am getting this message:

$ tar xzvf PHPix-2.0.2.tar.gz
phpix/
phpix/albums/
phpix/albums/Sample Album/
tar: Skipping to next file header...

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
tar: child returned status 1
