[Phpipam-releases] Mod_rewrite error: It seems your Apache is not set up properly to handle URL rewrites

Hi, 

I have followed all the instructions that are in the "INSTALL.txt" file and I am installing phpipam-1.0.tar.
For some reason I am getting the error:

Mod_rewrite error: 
It seems your Apache is not set up properly to handle URL rewrites

I tried to search on the internet for possible solutions but did not find any.
Can someone please help me with a fix / workaround to this solution?
