It would be perfect if you can define a range within a a subnet as a DHCP Range and not set them manually as reserved. But set for example IPs 10-250 to be assigned by DHCP.

Great request, it could be good to be able to also include information about which DHCP server the range is on

Is this planned for a release in the near future?

I would like this ability too.

Hi, if I understand correctly you would like to have additional "state" that would be set to DHCP and in IP output not print entire network but similar to how free IP's are displayed now?

    DHCP reserved - 10.10.0.10-10.10.0.250 (241)

This is exactly what I would like to see!

Individual entries for DHCP are largely useless unless the entry is an actual DHCP reservation. In that instance, perhaps if the description or hostname field were non-blank then it could be displayed in the table.

    Hi Miha,

Something like that, i want to be able to show and reserve address spaces that is configured on an DHCP server.

so for instance subnet 10.10.10.0/24, where address from .16-.48 is at one DHCP server and .49-.79 is on another, so you don't have to look around to find out where to find the DHCP servers. and where to find free addreses for static things as well.

    /L

Hi, why not just add new field "DHCP server" and add "DHCP reserved server 1" for all reserved IP addresses?

you can also search for "DHCP reserved server 1" and you should get all belonging IP addresses.

Hello, thanks for the great software, I try and describe how I would use the DHCP feature in our network:

We have large subnets (/22) with large DHCP pools (/24). I would import a current "snapshot" of the DHCP Range with MAC addresses, to have a visual feedback of usage, AND to have the MAC addresses searchable in case of a support call.
I can write the dhcpd.leases to CSV converter myself, and supply it, if there is interest.

So DHCP Range is a reservation, that can be filled on import with current data. Nice to have is the ability to search for a MAC that is "missing" now.

This is an IPAM not for Devices.
so i'm missing this function too.
In an Subnet /24 i have an large DCHP Range.
I'm not interested about which Host is using this IP's, i'm interested this adresses are already reserved, not by Host, by DHCP istead.
I would like to add an Pool of adresses, .33 - .165 for example with same Hostname and Description.
At the moment i have to add 132 Adresses manualy with Hostname DHCO and Descr DHCP, or any other Dynamic Pool like VPN Dialin etc...
Perhaps you could add an Input like :
    DYNAMIC ADDRESS RANGE
    First IP:
    Last IP:
    Hostname :
    Description:
This add Hosts from firstIP to lastIP with Hostname and Description.

You can write range in IP address field (e.g. 10.10.0.32-10.10.0.165) and fields will be populated.
