To be able to build a rack shelf with multiple devices. we have small IP encoders that have 3 devices to a 1 u shelf. All individual and PoE powering. We also have 10 devices on a 4 U self as well.
WOuld be nice to assign more then 1 device to U space
The feature would be great, we often use Allied-Telesis x550 or Allied-Telesis MX916, these are switches that are 1/2 U's wide, meaning we have 2 of them in one RU.
But while we're on the subject of U sizing:
In addition, it would be great if "full length" could be activated for a device in the rack, so that the back is occupied equally on the plan, preferably with a suffix like (Back).
So if I create a server (e.g. ESX01) in the front, it is automatically assigned "ESX01 (Back)" in the back.
