Any trick to make this work on windows 2003? I'm able to login however the CIDR Add does nothing. I'm not able to see the IP block in the view or search. Any ideas? |

This is to inform you about the release of version '4.3' of 'phpIP Management' through phpip.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://www.phpip.net The changes in this release are as follows: This release added support for prefixes larger then 24 bits. Updated tree menu to support sync state. Rewrite of cidr_add and prefix_add to help speed up the process of adding (/8-/16). Added the ability to change the display menu based on subset items. Added more in-deep IPAM (IP address management) fields to help define the host to IP address. Updated search field with new IPAM fields. Notes: This is a midterm release without support for upgrading releases before this build. The offical 4.3 release will be out soon. Change Log http://www.phpip.net/changelog.php Project description: phpIP Management is a complete IPv4 address management suite, built to handle the complexity of managing today's IP address space. phpIP Management was built to scale and address the full lifecycle of IP address space using techniques that are not administratively intensive. The frontend is completely PHP driven. India -> 10.0.0.0/24 -> Addresses used HongKong -> 10.0.1.0/24 -> Address used I am looking at the Name-Based view for all the network segments.. Hi Chetan, Yes, this is possible since 4.1. I have been in the process of updating the document regarding how to use user defined preferences. Click on Preference Click on [CREATE] Change Show CIDR to "Description Only" Change Show Prefix to "IP Only" Click [UPDATE] to store your preferences I will try and get the new updated preference document out soon. Not sure if I'm missing something but here is what I'm trying to do. Starting IP Block 10.10.10.0/21 The program will try to split it all /24 What I would like to do is take the first /24 and split that into a /26, /27 and so on. Can this be done? The work around I'm doing now is not entering the /21 or /24 and just entering the /26 in the CIDR add this works however I would like to keep them all under the /21 for reporting reasons. Thanks again for such a great little app!=20 =20 |

The answer to your question, the way phpIP was built was to not allow sub-splits within each net block. The best reason I have is, phpIP was built based on user groups to net blocks. This means each sub-split has to be defined and could be allocated to a defined group based on users. Example: 10.20.30.0/23 is assigned to group "INA" Username "mpeter" is assigned to group "INA" Only "INA" and "Administrator" can view and make changes to that defined net block. phpIP also breaks net blocks down to /24 bits to make management of IPs easier to administrate. Let me know if this answers your questions and requirements for phpIP.
