I've made some modifications to the way the IP hierarchy is displayed to deal with our large environment a bit better. We have a lot of networks and having them categorized all at the top level of the tree isn't very conducive to finding what you need quickly. I created /16 CIDR entries to break up the networks by sites and then used the prefixes to add the actual site networks. This worked OK but doesn't really show the true networks if you have both /23 and /24 nets.

The modification I made was to create a new Site table that contained the site and the site network identifier which end up to be the first 2 octets of the particular site. I then display any networks that match that site within the display tree under that site. The prefixes and the rest work as usual. This isn't necessarily the best solution for all sites/users but the idea seems to scale relatively well.

The problem with this is that it works perfectly in Firefox but not in IE. Technically it works in IE but when you click on a specific network/prefix, the IP tree collapses to the root level whereas Firefox remembers what the tree should look like and leaves it in place.

I'm stumped at this point. I have the code ready but don't want to implement the change until I can resolve this issue. Does anyone have any thoughts? I'm happy to forward the changed file to anyone willing to look as well as the specs for the additional table.

They're on this site. I've just made updates myself for my implementation. It doesn't seem like this project is active at all. I've made a few contact attempts to the owner without luck.
