I realize that the web site was hacked (for those who didn't realize this, see <http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=3D6124833= &forum_id=3D12293>) & that Chad has had little free time to inspect it for security holes. However, I have just received my fourth inquiry about if this project was still alive & asking what was up with the web page. I can only assume this is because I donated a few bucks to the project back in Feb. (A plug for the cause: <http://arc.nucapt.northwestern.edu/F/OSS>). What can we do to help get at least a minimal web site back up? A static page with screenshots & relevant links to the sourceforge project page would suffice. Heck, even a basic text message saying the page was hacked & directing people to the project page would be better than the page that is currently up. While I certainly don't mind forwarding my now-standard reply to people, I am more than willing to create a quick and dirty web page if no one else can do it. --Rick |

The documentation site was brought back up a few weeks ago, and some progress was made in restoring the forums. Unfortunately I have a family medical situation right now and most of my free time is spent caring for them. As I have free time, I will continue to bring back up the site. -C On Jun 3, 2005, at 9:40 AM, Richard Karnesky wrote: > I realize that the web site was hacked (for those who didn't realize > this, see <http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php? > thread_id=6124833&forum_id=12293>) > & that Chad has had little free time to inspect it for security holes. > However, I have just received my fourth inquiry about if this project > was still alive & asking what was up with the web page. Can <http://phpicalendar.net/> link or redirect to <http://phpicalendar.net/documentation/>? Also, note that MediaWiki 1.4.5 was released recently & has secruity fixes to 1.4.4. You have anonymous edits disabled, so it probably isn't a HUGE concern, but I thought I'd point that out. > Unfortunately I have a family medical situation right now and most of my free time is spent > caring for them. It was hacked and until I'm positive it can be secure, it's not going back up. -C On Dec 9, 2004, at 2:08 AM, Ben Francis wrote: > What's happened to the phpicalendar home page? > > -- > Ben "tola" Francis http://hippygeek.co.uk > ---------------------------------------------------- > COMPUTER SUPPORT for small businesses and home users > http://tolatech.co.uk > ---------------------------------------------------- > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide > Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real > users. > Discover which products truly live up to the hype.
