With all the other features I had left off search until a later release, but if you coded it up thats great! I'm still busy with 12 hour days at work this month but May looks like I'll have some free time. Hopefully I'll close out a few bugs and release 2.0. And get the site back up. :-) I'd say code the search box to always be present in the views, and leave off the config option. I'm not sure where it would go in month view... Will have to think about it.
