I've made a pass at optimizing the ical_parser itself, as template=20 overhead is about that of 2 calendars. I've also added a new time check=20= for full page and template. =46rom that we can see what speed=20 improvements come from parsing icals and from generating the templates.=20= I will work on adding a cache to All Combined and webcals, to speed=20 things up further after beta. Greg, give CVS one more shot. I don't=20 expect more than 1/2 a second or so. Also, it would be helpful to see=20 what your times your getting from 1.1, as I'd think 2.0 is a hair=20 faster (as most of the overhead is ical parsing itself). I'm also starting optimizing CSS and XHTML, my year view clocked in at=20= 220K, and is now around 100K. -C On May 19, 2004, at 6:14 AM, Greg Westin wrote: > Here's what I got before and after with the calendars in CVS: > -Week: 3.751 --> 3.264 > -Month: 3.665 --> 3.184 > -Year: 4.269 --> 3.368 > > Also, just for general interest, here's what I get before, with my=20 > calendars (not CVS): > -Week: 17.779 --> 16.715 > -Month: 17.659 --> 15.722 > -Year: 17.480 --> 15.943 > > So maybe not quite 20%, but significantly faster! > > Greg > -- > http://www.gregwestin.com > Contact info: http://www.gregwestin.com/contact.php > > On May 18, 2004, at 11:52 PM, Chad Little wrote: > >> I've checked in some new code, and am seeing about a 20% speed=20 >> increase.
