We're happy to have the help. Basically we don't just give out CVS access on SourceForge. We prefer to get you know you and your code a bit first. The best way to do this is to submit a few patches. Patches on opened bugs is even better. I'll test out the patches and when myself and Patrick agree, we'll add you to the developer list. I think we have 8? developers, though not many are currently active.
