Web Sharing is a Mac OS X thing. Turning Web Sharing on is the same as=20= turning your web server software on. In Mac OS X, it's just one button.=20= We have those instructions aimed at OS X users because the two main=20 developers (myself and Chad) are OS X users and our initial target=20 audience is Mac users who are using Apple's iCal. So, don't worry about that part. If you know how to turn your web=20 software on, then you're all set. If not, I'm sure you can find some=20 instructions out there for your particular system. The instructions could also read: 1) Put PHP iCalendar into your web path and start your web server=20 software. We just went more in depth for OS X users. I will change the README to=20= note this to avoid future confusion. -Jared On Monday, October 28, 2002, at 02:01 PM, Jon Mark Allen wrote: > I just discovered phpicalendar today.=A0 Great idea!!=A0 I think this = will=20 > be perfect for what I'm trying to do.=A0 However, I am (unfortunately)=20= > completely unfamiliar with Macs and, hence, have no idea what Web=20 > sharing is?=A0 (BTW, I'm running Mandrake Linux 9.0)=A0 I read in the=20= > README file to enable Web Sharing if it wasn't already, but I have no=20= > idea what it is and/or where to look.=A0 I searched in the FAQs, but=20= > didn't find anything regarding this question. > > I've uncompressed the files to the desired location and edited=20 > config.inc.php to reflect the correct path, however when I go to the=20= > phpcalendar/index.php page, nothing comes up? > > Any help would be greatly appreciated. > > Thanks! > > Jon Mark > |
