Could you please remove from the distribution package the .DS_Store and ._.DS_Store files present in every directory?

    This will be fixed for the next distribution release.

    A reminder for creating tarballs on OS X without including the hidden meta files:

    $ COPY_EXTENDED_ATTRIBUTES_DISABLE=true tar -cvzf phpicalendar-x.xx.tar.gz phpicalendar-x.xx/

    For OS X 10.5+, the environment variable name is now COPYFILE_DISABLE:

    $ COPYFILE_DISABLE=true tar -cvzf phpicalendar-x.xx.tar.gz phpicalendar-x.xx/

    Another good idea during packaging is excluding any VCS meta files. GNU tar (mostly Linux systems) can use the --exclude-vcs option. Apple tar needs to use the --exclude=pattern option instead. In our case, --exclude=CVS.

    The following command will package phpicalendar for release on OS X 10.5+ without any resource fork/extended attribute/CVS meta files:

    $ COPYFILE_DISABLE=true tar -cvzf phpicalendar-x.xx.tar.gz phpicalendar-x.xx/ --exclude=CVS
