I set this up yesterday, and all was working great. I added about 10-15 items under my account, and they were all there and looking good. My wife created an account, logged in, requested to shop for me, which I approved, and she could see all my items.
This morning, with absolutely no changes made by me or anyone else (unless I sleepwalk ;)), ALL the items in the 'items' table of the database are gone. When I logged in, I saw no items for myself. I checked the items table, and it's empty. I tried to add a new item just to test, and the rankings drop-down box was empty. I checked that table, and it, too, was empty.
What's going on??
I'm scared I can't rely on this thing. What on earth would have caused this to happen? And how do I make sure it doesn't happen again?

This is the first instance I've ever heard of where someone lost data. There is nothing in the application whatsoever that can delete rankings. NOTHING. There's absolutely no way to maintain them within the app. I don't want to point the finger at you, but you *must* have done something.

Yeah, I didn't think the app would do anything. I have no idea what happened. It's worrisome, from the database point of view (it's remotely hosted). The database was there, all tables existed, but the items and rankings tables were totally empty. Users were there, though. It's very weird!!
I'm re-entering my items now and then I'm going to backup the database... just in case. :)
On a side note, I'd been using Community Wish List Server, and your app totally blows it away. So far, I love it. Thanks!

It's for accommodating multiple family "circles" in your database. If your in-laws use it as well, you wouldn't want to see all their names in the list of people you're not shopping for, and vice versa. It also allows for auto-approve within your family circle.

Thanks! I should be cutting a new release soon with the families patch in place (in case you need that functionality).
No idea what that is, but since I'm using this primarily (if not solely) for my family, it sounds like it could be handy!
