Is there a guide for beginners (who are using budget hosts, and thus not getting tech support from them) about how to set this up, especially if they're using a "web admin interface"?

So far I've uploaded the files, and I've created the database.  I've created a user, but I don't know if I've done that right.  And I have no idea about setting up the tables. So, uh, I'm struggling a bit.

That's an excellent idea; however, every budget host seems to provide a different web interface, and I in particular only have access to one.  Therefore it's difficult to impossible for me to write such a document.  I can give you specific help if/when necessary but sometimes it's just guessing.  Sorry.

What about cPanel X? Most hosts use this interface these days, yeah?
Could you provide some installation instructions for giftregistry via cPanel?

I personally don't have access to a site with cPanel, so I can't write such a guide myself.  Perhaps someone else?

Hi iyan, you simply have to remove the type:ISAM from the sql file everywhere they appear, the registry will then install.
