First of all I suggest that whatever you do is done together with
whoever made the file. If they've done so much work before, then you
want to keep working with them. If you run through the file 'fixing' it
and they disagree with what you've done then you'll have two seperate
databases. Bad bad bad thing to have.
If you can convince the other person that phpgedview online is a good
way to edit then you _together_ can make an agreement on what to change,
and do it together, on the same database.

I'm useless at SQL, but that sounds that the hard way to do it.
