I haven't actually used the feature myself. I imagine that you have to
create a cvs repository with your gedcom in it and then check it out.
You should post the question on the patch forum to get a more conclusive
answer. The creator of the patch will respond and then we will all have
the instructions.

It basically allows you to check your GEDCOM and config files into CVS
or Subversion every time they are changed.
