Hi Rachel, =20 As Daniel suggested, if you are really planning on starting from scratch = on your genealogy data with PGV you should seriously consider using the = GDBI project as a client to PGV. =20 But to answer your question, to add more related people, go to the = "close relatives" tab of the person you created and you will be able to = add spouses and parents. =20 It is currently not possible to add unrelated people to PGV online. You = would have to edit the gedcom manually to do this. =20 --John ________________________________ From: php...@li... on behalf of Street = Talk Sent: Sat 10/23/2004 12:02 AM To: php...@li... The names might be off by a single letter. I was able to "View GEDCOM Record" and see the FILE names, but I can't see your images folder. You need to compare the "images" folder contents to the FILE names. You didn't ask, but I think you are supposed to create a separate "Residence" for each address instead of grouping them together. Then you can put the image with each address. Hi, I managed download the image files using my browser, but I can't view them in any application - the image files look corrupt to me. If you have an MD5 checksummer, you could check the originals to see if they have been modified en-route: md5 checksums: Thumbnail of 114_31_210th_st_newyork_1956.jpg: af524c7db74f7892f602da71959b5e29 Thumbnail of fresh_meadows_newyork_1962.jpg: c1bf55fd431039973ecab40f07155c47 114_31_210th_st_newyork_1956.jpg: 0389ec77b860fa7f3bb31f2754e9963f fresh_meadows_newyork_1962.jpg: 474d4c4a926d0970424833db0d1effe9 I had a problem where some of my jpegs were not viewable in some apps. I ran them through "jpegtran" (http://www.rt.com/man/jpegtran.1.html), and that solved the problem for my pictures. However, I tried to run your images through it and it gave an error: "Sampling factors too large for interleaved scan" ...which to me just confirms that the images are corrupted somehow. If you can view them in some application, try saving as some other format, then in a different application convert them back to jpegs. It could be that whatever program created these files has some bug in it that produces duff jpegs. Cheers, -- Matthew P.S. your original mail seemed to have some viral attachment - at least my mail hosting service ID'd it as such... Thanks for your observations. I'm using PSP 9.0, which I've always used in previous versions to create these images from a scanner. All images on my site use this method. However, since I wrote the query, I find other .jpg files created this way also have a problem on the web, but not on the desktop. Older files are OK. Any ideas? Matthew, Thanks for that. No, I didn't use lossless rotation, but I've retrieved all (some 120 in my last batch!) the corrupted jpg files by exporting from PSP to png files, importing those into FireWorks MX and then saving as jpg files! Hi there, Was just checking through my phpGedView log file (not something I do very often!) and notice this error message (real names removed): " 17.12.2004 23:52:29 - 68.154.64.65 - Possible SQL injection detected: body=>My husband Derrick typed his name in a search engine on-line and found our family tree. My mom is **** ****, now ****, Jack\'s daughter. I\'m curious to know how long it has taken you to create this. I\'m very impressed! I also have some updates that you might want to add. I look forward to hearing from you. . Script terminated. " Now, I'm assuming that there was some sort of error in the saving/sending of this message since I never actually recieved this message. I have tried to reproduce conditions under which it may have occurred but I always manage to send the message OK. phpGedView is V3.1 - I'm just about to apgrade when I get a chance. Any ideas? When I upload the new files for version 3.2.1, following the update instructions in readme.txt I get the following errors. I have copied in my original config.php and authentication_mysql.php and chmod these to 777. I have checked that the index file (relocated into /files/home2/phethean/cgi-bin/index) is also chmod to 777. If I use the original config files it all starts up ok, but I don't want to loose any subscriber data in the mysql database! ____________________________________________________________________________ ____________________ Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /files/home2/phethean/test/authentication_mysql.php on line 235 ERROR:DB Error: already exists SQL:CREATE TABLE pgv_users (u_username VARCHAR(30) NOT NULL, u_password VARCHAR(255), u_fullname VARCHAR(255), u_gedcomid TEXT, u_rootid TEXT, u_canadmin ENUM('Y','N'), u_canedit TEXT, u_email TEXT, u_verified VARCHAR(20), u_verified_by_admin VARCHAR(20), u_language VARCHAR(50), u_pwrequested VARCHAR(20), u_reg_timestamp VARCHAR(50), u_reg_hashcode VARCHAR(255), u_theme VARCHAR(50), u_loggedin ENUM('Y','N'), u_sessiontime INT(14), u_contactmethod VARCHAR(20), PRIMARY KEY(u_username)) ERROR:DB Error: already exists SQL:CREATE TABLE pgv_messages (m_id INT NOT NULL auto_increment, m_from VARCHAR(255), m_to VARCHAR(30), m_subject VARCHAR(255), m_body TEXT, m_created VARCHAR(255), PRIMARY KEY(m_id)) ERROR:DB Error: already exists SQL:CREATE TABLE pgv_favorites (fv_id INT NOT NULL auto_increment, fv_username VARCHAR(30), fv_gid VARCHAR(10), fv_type VARCHAR(10), fv_file VARCHAR(100), PRIMARY KEY(fv_id)) ERROR:DB Error: already exists SQL:CREATE TABLE pgv_blocks (b_id INT NOT NULL auto_increment, b_username VARCHAR(100), b_location VARCHAR(30), b_order INT, b_name VARCHAR(255), PRIMARY KEY(b_id)) ERROR:DB Error: already exists SQL:CREATE TABLE pgv_news (n_id INT NOT NULL auto_increment, n_username VARCHAR(100), n_date INT, n_title VARCHAR(255), n_text TEXT, PRIMARY KEY(n_id)) Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /files/home2/phethean/test/authentication_mysql.php on line 210 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /files/home2/phethean/test/authentication_mysql.php:235) in /files/home2/phethean/test/session.php on line 313 Best wishes, Stuart __________________________________ Stuart Phethean Hampshire, UK Family web Pages: http://www.phethean.co.uk <http://www.phethean.co.uk/> _____________________________________ -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
