May be it's interesting for you, I have pgv 4.0.2 running with mysql at
a provider server.
I made the mistake and upload my images without an extension, when I
change the random fotonames to person fotonames I forgotten something.
After that upload there are no problems, only the second step to create
the coupling with persons its goes all wrong. It's also easy to do this
mistake because there is a extension selection field in the window that
seems pgv do this for you.
I must cleanup the media directory en recover the database mysql at my
providers website.
After that and upload images with the correct extensions, its run all oke.
