I cannot understand why excel output is not working because with me it is
working fine... at least when you have run patriarchlist before.

Probably I can help you very fast if you send me your GEDCOM file. I will do
it om my own computer.

I migth also find out why this is not working with you.

I was wondering what the end of the output line meant:

Output in EXCEL (SLK) format on the following files (first use Patriarch
list):

but that did not change the errors for me. Can you not put the Patriarch
list logic into the SLK export?

My intent was to be able to use the data in EXCEL/ACCESS to create reports
not available in PGV. Specifically, I need to report all families with
children and maybe even a list of Places. I need this to make up the
shortcomings in the Search feature, as I work on a one name study.

I ended up using the GEDCOM text file and spent most of a day using find
and replace to strip out the unwanted data and to create tables of families
and individuals with name and birth/death dates.
