Hi Stuart, =20 First, you should try deleting the gedcom privacy files. These can be = found in the index directory named gedcom.ged_priv.php. There will be = one for each gedcom. Deleting these files will reset the privacy = settings to the default. It sounds like the default settings are the = ones that you want, but when you edit the privacy settings again, then = these files will be recreated. =20 --John =20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D John Finlay PhpGedView Project Manager ya...@us... =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D ________________________________ From: php...@li... on behalf of stuart Sent: Sun 10/3/2004 3:35 AM To: php...@li... Subject: [Phpgedview-talk] PhpGedView 3.1 - hidden names Hi, =20 In PhpGedView V3 I could hide living names so that only authenticated = users could view the details, but the individual names still appeared = but marked as "private" in the names list to un-authenticated users. I = have upgraded to ver 3.1 and this now appears not to be so. Any = "private" names don't appear at all, so living people can't verify if = they are in the data or not. Is there something I have missed in = re-configuring ver 3.1? =20 =20 Stuart =20 _____________________________________ Stuart Phethean Hampshire, UK Family web Pages: http://www.phethean.co.uk <http://www.phethean.co.uk/>=20 _____________________________________ =20 =20 --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
