#990 Wedding pictures image map
Hi,
Is there a way to make an image map for a few pictures ? For instance, for wedding pictures it could be great if we could point a face to see the name and then clic to go to the individual page.
I haven't found anything to do this, so I have made a fast, poor and ugly hack that load the map for a picture if a plain text .map file (with all the coordinates) having the same name than the picture exists. But the .map file has to be done manually then uploaded by ftp... not really user-friendly.
And I have to say this is, after the pedigree and relationship reports, the visitors' favorite function on my web site ! So I believe such a functionality could really be well-appreciated.

FWIW, http://myheritage.com has a rather impressive feature.
Software scans every uploaded image and generates an image map that boxes every face in the picture. It misses maybe two percent, and so it allows the user to draw the box with the mouse.
Then it allows the user to type in the identity of each mapped face. (Don't know whether that includes a link.
Of course, that's not open source, but I'd bet we could imitate it if we wanted to.....
Meanwhile. I would encourage 'truz' to upload code and instructions to "patches" so that other folks could do the same thing.
