I know "random media" adequately describes the process we use to generate the random image on a page, but could we re-word it to make it sound better on the page we present it on?

"Random media" suggests it's any old piece of media, rather than a carefully chosen crafted image which we would actually like to present to you.

I don't disagree with you, but do you have a suggestion? "Randomly selected carefully crafted image" is a bit wordy <GRIN> Must admit nothing practical leaps into my mind. Does it need a title at all?

Also, don't forget its easy to change this yourself in the languages/extra.en.php file. I change a huge number of such descriptions for my site, as well as translating all the amierican spellings to english. (yes, I'm a pedant!)

There has been discussion before about categorising media items, so you have (for instance) portrait photos, churches, farms, gravestones etc

    Picture of the day
    Today's featured photo
    Selected image

(not the time of the night for great thought)

I actually use "Random Picture", but thats not a lot different from the standard phrase.

Picture of the day & Today's featured photo don't really work because the image changes every time the page is refreshed, not daily, and constantly if you turn on the slide-shpw feature.

Its quite a hard question (and not even close to my bed-time!)
