When a user updates, it would be interesting to log him to the person or family he updates.
For now, gedcom admin has to modify every new or updated record to add a source .... almost impossible if their are a lot of new records to accept.
I think of two possible ways to make it easier to keep track of who updated:
- link a source record to an updator; source record would be added to every new/modified record
- give the gedcom admin to add updator's source recor when accepting changes.
I's be happy to hear about this feature request ... perhaps is there allready a easy way to do what i'm looking for ?

Hi Kiwi_pgv,
it allready refers too ?
I get many updates from different users.
What i would like is to keep track of users who create/updates individual or family records.
What i suggest is to be able (not have to) to specify (link) a source record to a user.
If a user has a linked source, when he updates, the updaped indis and families automaticaly get the source record linked to the updating user.
If a user does not have a linked source, nothing happens has it works now.
That's the purpose of sources, no ?
If another way to source updates allready exists, please give it to me, i neeed it !
Thanks,
André

The "1 AUTH" tag does not mean a source.
Among updators,
- 20% make 80 % of the updates
- updates and made to record thats where created/update by other (should i then get multiple authors in a record ?)
- the sourcing linked to the author who's updating could be done only to the record where updator did not mention a source.
Wish i was able to keep a trace of the different users who modified a record.
