I'm using on my site http://www.heeren-genealogy.net version 4.1. As a genealogist I miss badly special reports for paternal (agnatic) and maternal lines. Would be very interesting and a great addon for 4.1 and future releases. To me it would be major genealogical addon much more important than theme customization for example (no offense intended).

If you enter a individual (male or female):
paternal line is its direct male ancestors (agnatic), which is its father, his grandfather, his great-grandfather and so on, always male fatherly line, (pure y-chromosome inheritance)
maternal line is its direct female ancestors, which is its mother, her mother (grandmother of the individual), grea-grandmother always female/motherly line, pure mitochondrial dna/inheritance.
First line stops, when there ar eno male children. Second maternal line stops when there are no female children.

Layout could be - to keep it easy first - a simple list report. I don't have report at hand, there is one German software "Der Stammbaum" which does agnatic line reports, I try to reinstall it (problems with vista), import my gedcom and export this report somehow if I'm successfull, can take a while.

If there is a good documentation how to programm such reports in PGV and how to query the database for only male-to-male or female-to-female lines maybe I try it myself (software developer). But I would some introduction.

    Thanks,
    Robert
