#825 Family.php, add MARR date, place to parents

In FAMily.PHP or FAM View as I call it, the current family information (listing of children, if any, and MARR /FAM facts/events) are noted, as well as the two sets of parents with a link.

Similar to the DESCENDANCY.php view, can we add the MARR facts (date/place) to that union, if known. Adding it in the INDI Close Relatives view was exquisite, but it probably belongs here too.

Tnx, Stephen

Thanks for the quick adoption of this suggestion, however, I guess I wasn't quite clear about the location. What you added is great, as there was plenty of white-space at that location, but that data was already present on the page in the FACTS column on the lower right.

What we intended was for the addition of the MARR date/place for the parents of each party on this page.

    -------------
    ---------- | FATHER |
    HUSB |--------|-------------
    ---------- |ADD MARR DATE/PLACE HERE
    -------------
    | MOTHER |
    -------------
    MARR DATE/PLAC -------------
    ADDED HERE | FATHER |
    ---------- |-------------
    WIFE |--------|ADD MARR DATE/PLACE HERE
    ---------- |-------------
    | MOTHER |
    |-------------

    CHILDREN OTHER FAM FACTS
    MARR, DIV, CENS, RESI, ETC

    It this better?
    Hope this helps, Stephen

Ok Stephen, thanks for the chart ;-)

Not so easy to add this.
As this may break something else, will keep this new feature for 4.2

Yes, a great idea - but is there an alternative solution. I've often though it would be good to be able to include MARR info on the individual's box, together with the existing BIRT, DEAT (and any others we choose to include). That way it will apear on Favourites, pedigree charts, everything. We would have the basic 'set' of BMD for each individual on display everywhere.

I realise it would not be easy to include a FAM record on an INDI diplay box, but can it happen? Then I looked at the enlarged view of the INDI box, and it is already in that version - so why not on the standard size - or have I missed an option somewhere?

Nigelo, I have some INDI's with up to 6 MARR records. I'm not sure I want to have all that data added to the INDI box on my display. I simply thought that the MARR record pertinent to the family the created the child (HUSB or WIFE) was also pertinent to the view and seemed to fit nicely inbetween, just like the DESCENDANCY View. Chris, I had hoped the diagram might help us all to better visualize what I had intended.

No problem with 4.2, if the programming is any challenge. It can wait.

Good point Stephen, one I hadn't thought through well enough.
