Hi,

Wouldn't it be great to manage all modules on the Admin page? Incase you download everything with SVN or in a zip file.

A very simple management with Enable/Disable a Module would be enough for hiding them, even the buttons from the interface.

I second this feature request as i was about to post the same request.
If you guys manage to build a config system to do this, try to make it so that new inserted modules are disabled by default unless the admin enables them online.
Atm. its like almost imposible to disable modules when you update with svn.
The only way is to rename/remove the <modulename>.php inside the modules directory by hand after each head-update.
(rename with a leading dot works well)

I'm not so sure that there is a great deal of benefit to implementing such configuration options.

I think that deleting the subdirectory corresponding to unwanted modules is just as simple as setting a configuration option. If you don't want any of the modules, delete the whole "modules" directory.

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for your attention.
    1. What if the user don't have access or permission to delete the folder or just the modules they want
    2. When updating the SVN, the module folder will be downloaded again

    Im:
Configuration of what modules to make available MUST be an Admin option, since it affects the whole site. If the Admin has sufficient rights to upload a new release of PhpGedView, he must also have sufficient rights to delete unwanted directories.

Better still, don't upload the unwanted directories to the server in the first place. Instead, either delete them on the local PC before uploading or selectively FTP just what's wanted.

You don't have to delete the control files of unwanted modules from the "modules" directory.

And what todo in cases where a site uses multiple gedcoms, with different module useages?
Yes i know we are heading into a theoretic scenarios but they could be real needs...
