#564 Unify Block and RSS Code

The output of the RSS feeds mirror the data in the
blocks and the code for retrieving the data should be
unified. The code in the blocks has formatting data in
it that is incompatible with the RSS feed and that is
the excuse of a reason for maintaining 2 almost
identical duplicate code sections.

This should probably be done as part of the future OO
review of the codebase.
