Currently the 9 icons that make up the menu items on
the top of every page fill a 800 px screen. Adding an
aditional icon for a link to phpBB or phpNuke would make
it too large. Can the next generation icons be a drop
smaller? If it would be possible can there be included an
optional 10th icon with links to a user defined url for a
forum? If in the config settings the admin didn't set up a
url this 10th icon would not show up.

Thanks

These types of design questions can be addressed in the
themes. You are free to change the icons to whatever you
wish or remove them completely. You can also add links to
whatever you want. You can do this by simply replacing the
images in the images folder, or by editing the toplinks.html file
in the theme of your choice. You can also change the icon
size by editing the .icon stylesheet in the style.css file which
also resides in the theme directory.

I do not want to force a design style on anyone, so I have
tried to make phpGedView operate independent of the
design. Unfortunately few people actually make their own
    themes.

I forgot to mention that there is a set of smaller icons
included with the package in the images/small folder.

The icons will be getting smaller in the next release because I
need to add one for the anniversaries and statistics page
    that will be added.

    Thanks.
I will look into your suggestions. Changing all the sizes
via 1 css icon setting sounds great.
Talking about the next release, do you have an idea when the
    next beta will be out?

I plan to release the next version 2.50 beta Sept. 1, 2003, if
    all goes well.
