I have created a theme to allow the user to easily
increase text size that might useful to others as an
option in future versions of the program. It presents
an increasingly large string of A's that the user can
click on to select their text size, then saves the
preference in a session variable and alters the css
accordingly. I have been creating accessible css for
many years and designed this theme for the many older
users I have with poor vision. The current themes do
not scale well, even for those who know how to alter
their browser settings to increase text size.

This theme is available to anyone who is interested,
and I also have created a readme text file with
suggestions for configuration options to make larger
text work better, and a few small code changes that help.

You can see the site with this theme at
http://www.familyinfo.us/ (select the "Family Tree"
tab). You can send a message to me if you want the files.

Interesting and very useful for the visually impaired. There
are ways of dynamically increasing the font size without
reloading the page. Have a look at
    http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,68808,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_3
and note the string of A's that change the font size.

Actually the theme does more than increase font size. In
changes the size of boxes, and for very large font sizes
switches the 2-column welcome and gedcom pages to a single
column since the right column becomes unreadable at very
large text sizes. To do all that, a page refresh is
required, but that's part of the reason why just changing
the font size in the browser is not enough.
