It would be very helpful for users to show the places not
only in the hierarchy, but also have the option to see all
places from all levels in one view or if I have selected
Germany in the place hierarchy to see all names from all
levels unter Germany. So they would be allowed to go to
a known place and they could navigate from there.

Reason: Often it is not clear in which county or state a
place was because borders changed over the time
(especially in Europe).

    I just added the option to view the places as a list to the
    CVS.

    Hi John,
    could the place list extended in a way that, if I'm under
    Germany and see the next place level and I click on the "show
    all places" link only those places where shown that have
    Germany as highest level. If I do this on the top level I would
    get the same result, having at the moment from each level.

    This is especially useful if you have a lot of different places in
    your database (abt 7000 in my case).
