#1185 Autocomplete ordering

Having an autocomplete field entering an id, the results should show the shortest id's first, e.g. input I25 should show I25, I250, I251..., I2500 ..., I25000.
At the moment I only see id's with I25xxx and can not decide if I25 or I250 is the right one to choose.

I thought the results were sorted by the name of the object (e.g. the person's name), not the xref?
