#1112 Adding information about a certain place, county or village

Hi,

Would it be interesting to have the ability to add information about a certain place, county or village and how it was "born"? Back in the early 1500 it came some people from Finland as settlers and founded the place Bredsjön (Broadlake, my transalation :). They founded more places and gave them name, which also give the people their surnames in some cases. So the name Bredsjön gave the surname Bredin to one family which my grandmother on my fathers side are from. It would be cool to add that information and maybe a link to that person or persons who founded the place. A picture feature would also me nice in the same interface.

I totally agree, and it has been discussed many times. Just needs a programmer with the skill and enthusiasm to do it.
