Sometimes it's easier to add a source and then add all the facts from it, just typing in the SOUR xref each time.

So I like to allow logged-in users to add a source at the source list. The attached file does this, though I'm not sure it's the best way.

    Wes, another option was discussed in:

    I added the ability to create both an unlinked source and an unlinked individual to the menus so they are available from anywhere. This way you can set the permissions for each menu item at whatever level you choose.

    I see the other approach. I think I prefer mine--add a source on the source list, and if I ever get around to it, add a REPO on the REPO list, INDI on the INDI list, and so on.

    Although I will change mine to use that USER_CAN_EDIT test instead of just being logged in.

    Wes, I agree now that you point it out. Your idea is much more logical. Users are far more likely to find these things on their respective pages.
