#1031 MARR 'Y"

more than 99% of the time, when we add a spouse, we are adding a MARR record too, or at least the MARR Y event. Can the submission form be set to default "Y" for MARR event when adding a SPOUSE.

Most of my users, when they don't know the dates or place of marriage, fail to check the box, which causes PGV to fail do display the SPOUSE on the INDI facts page of their partner.

I'm with Stephen on this one. In my view the deciding factor should be 'what is the most commonly required response'. This isn't the only example either. This one is the same principle:

In that case I gave a 'local' solution. Not the most satisfactory cure, but at least it works, if you remember to change it again on updates. The change required for this one looks more complex though.

Please make this a configurable option.
I do not want the MARR Y in my Gedcom unless I really know that the couple was married.

Meliza, although I hate the thought of even more config options, you are probably right. We need a section in GEDCOM config for a range of options to have various check boxes ticked by default or not.
