Hi,
I haven't food a description for this problem as well. I don't know whether in v.4.01 there is a solution nor where I have to define different names for the same place in different languages. I tried with lang.xx.php and lang.xx.extra.php but without success.
Any help would be very appreciated.
Robert

I believe that the GEDCOM spec does not support multiple names for a location. This is a pity. Locations should be a top level object with an option for multiple names. An example would be Danzig / Gdansk, Poland. Many locations changed names histocally or even in the present has different names in different languages.

Hi,
my pgv runs in a german environment, most of the gedcom records belong to germany.
some of the relatives are living in finland.
when i add a location in finland to my gedcoms
i will be prompted with place-names in english.
How can i direct pgv to offer me the place-names in german or finnish?
