Hi, all
I'm a newbie to this forum.
I have created a completely new danish translation to PHPGedView based on version 3.3.7. But I do not know how post them to the project? Could you tell help me how to do that?
I have translated the following files:
configure_help.da.php
countries.da.php
facts.da.php
help_text.da.php
lang.da.php
I would very much contribute these files to the project, as my appreciation for a great open source project, and hope sincerely that the translations can be of use. I have just recently published my PhpGedView site at: http://hansens-family.dk/phpgedview/index.php?command=gedcom
I have rewied the files myself, but any review and comments would be appreciated. I
For your information I have been working with technical writing in the English language for more than 25 years.
Best Regards

I have found out how to publish my complete danish translation of phpgedview v.3.3.8. You can find it in the patches area.
I will continue reviewing the files in order to improve the translation in terms of genealogical concept, terms and spelling.
I'm open to any comments, and suggestions, which will further enhance the quality of the translation.

Joe thanks. Your PGV site is very nice. I am going to add your translations to the site for my Danish relatives. I notice that while I don't speak Danish, that many more options and features seem covered by your translations.
Gerry, could the language files and translation downloads have a more clear download link and location on the main PGV site? I always seem to have to come here, and troll the forums to find the language files, then there is a small download thing near the bottom of the patches page in CVS.

Hi Chris
Thanks for your comments. Good to hear that you like my site. I just want to pay your attention to an update of the Danish language files. I have recently posted a new update of the Danish language files for PhpGedView Version 4.0beta4. You can find them if you go to the Patches in the top menu of this page.

Hi again Chris
I just realized that the link you referred to in your previous message was a link to the recent updated Danish language files.
I think that the translation is complete and includes all the help-text as well, but I will continue to improve the translation in terms of phrases, terms and concepts.
Let me hear if you find anything that sounds or looks weird, and I will try to correct it.
Best Regards

I've copied the recently posted Danish files from the Patches section to Future Branch CVS, for inclusion in the upcoming PGV 4.0 Beta2 release.
I made some corrections to the formats and fixed a couple of very minor spelling mistakes in the lang.da.php file.
Anybody working on Danish translations should be sure to use the files from Future Branch CVS.
