a couple of days ago, i went to my site and noticed in the random media, something that I wanted to edit.  But when I logged in, the media block disappeared.

I checked "my portal" and the main welcome-not on either.
I logged out and it did not come back.  Since then, it has not reappeared, whether logged in or not.

I see the rotating JS thingy in the right location while blocks are loading, but then that one ends and the empty space closes up.

http://UniGen.us/PGV/  -  Does it appear for other people?

    Wes,

I don't see the random media block when I go to your site. I see a sweep hand above the counter which only lasts a moment then vanishes.

I did notice an error in your footer:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function print_execution_stats() in /home/content/G/T/S/GTSCFL/html/UG/PGV/themes/partly_cloudy/footer.php on line 171

<<I did notice an error in your footer: Fatal error: Call to undefined function printexecutionstats() >>

As a custom theme maintainer, you should follow the forum on pgvthemes.com.

All PGV changes that affect themes are posted there - including this one.

Thanks, vhhawk, that tells me it's my site and not my browser.

I haven't had time to fix the footer thing, but I'm sure it's not hiding the media block.  In fact, the footer error appeared before the media block disappeared-and the media block was there and then it wasn't without any change to the site in between other than logging in.

So, it's likely something that will take me a while to find.  And I don't really have much time to look at it.

Greg, I know.  But again, I just don't have time right now.

It is a one-character change.  An underscore with a space.

Hmmm,I'll look.  What I don't have the time for is to figure out why I'm not inheriting the update.  I did not change that file and I had my site using softlinks to cloudy for all files I didn't change.

Solved.  'sitecopy' uploads files that have changed.  But symlinks, don't change when the target changes.  Yet it uploads a copy of the target instead of duplicating the symlink.

I used the symlink method rather than edit the style.css because my edits were too extensive for the SVN merge to cope with.

Well, my random media is back.
Whether or not it had something to do with the footer fix, I don't know.
(Unlikely, since it was there and then it wasn't **without** a change in PGV files)
