Something must have happened with my configuration, and I don't remember how I fixed it before. If I goto edit geographic place locations, you will see, for example, USA, Maryland, Baltimore, Towson. I have added names under such as Towson Cemetery and put the exact coordinates for the cemetery. If I go to a person, and for the place put in Towson Cemetery, Towson, Baltimore County, Maryland, USA, it will not find it. But if I put Towson Cemetery, Towson, Baltimore, Maryland, USA, it finds it. I know I did something before which fixed this so it would ignore the word County when searching, but I don't remember what it was. And when I looked at the configuration settings, it showed levels as 4. Is that correct, or did that change as well and it should be 5?
Thanks,
Doc

Looked there, but apparently not sure how to set it. Which level do I use, and where do I put the word county (do I have to put County and county?), in the prefix or postfix. And then what do I set the option for… no prefix/postfix, or one of the order options listed.
Thanks
Doc

Doc, sorry - thought it pretty self explanatory.
Which level do I use > Use the level you wish to modify. There are prefixes and postfixes appropriate for each level, depending on how your record your data.
where do I put the word county: Into the level you wish to include and into the field type you record in your data, in the manner in which you record it. County, county, Co., Co, co, < whatever you do, but you should have consistency in the data.
then what do I set the option for > again, pretty self-explanatory. Set to NO and it won't do anything will it? I prefer to select the method of modification that will be most common to that level. If we're talking "County", the only other common modifier is "Parish". I can't think of many prefixes for that level, other than "of, from, near, probably, likely, maybe…"

Thanks, was using the wrong level.
