Having recently merged two gedcoms, and removed the redundant one. How do I redirect users clicking on Google links etc that point to the old gedcom so that the user arrives at even just the index page of the new merged gedcom?

At the moment, the site is redirecting (somehow) users to records in one of the other gedcoms … not the "default" gedcom (why not?) … and I've now also tried using a RewriteRule in .htaccess trying to redirect based on the ged=xyz.ged part of the URL, but it seems to be ignoring it.
