    Hi,
Gallery2 is installed and someone helped earlier with fixing an absolute path issue.  Now I try and upload images and the 'Processing' page appears but it doesn't complete.  When I return to the album the entries for the two pictures are there but no thumbnails and if you click on the picture it opens a blank picture.
when I installed Gallery2 I set the physical path outside of my web directory structure which should be okay.
    Can anyone please advise.
    thanks
    Paul

Sorry, found that it is just the resized 640x??? versions and the thumbnails that haven't been created.  If I click on the picture, I get a new page with a picture name and when I click on that I get the huge picture version.
Might be whatever is the default for resizing isn't correct, any ideas anyone?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Dear Paul,

I use ImageMagick to create thumbnails and automatic resizing during uploads of pictures. GD is the toolkit which I did not install and use. There is also the option to recreate thumbnails. You can find this at the maintanance option.

    Rick.

GD worked once I upped my memory in php.ini.  I still cannot get imagemagick to work, I get errors on testing which I am trying to find answers for on the Gallery2 forums.
I've installed netpdm and it tested fine.

    Hi Paul,

The path to ImageMagick in Gallery2 at my installation is : /usr/bin

Also pay attention to the note : chmod 755 * in the ImageMagick directory to make the files executable.

The toolkit priority is set for ImageMagick first.

By the way, I did the ImageMagic installation with apt-get install.

    Rick.

    Hi Rick,
I have a WAMP installation so my paths are c:/…/…
When I perform a test I get this error.

I have tried a variety of Windows binary versions and got a variety of errors ;-)
Alot of the threads to do with the imagemagick errors mention differences in the imagemagick versions.
Anyway, I have GD and netpbm working.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

Hmmm. in that case I do not have experience with
a WAMP installation. I guess it has to do with the path to imagemagick but can't tell for sure. Good luck with Gallery2. Gallery3 is much more easier but does not have (yet) an interface with phpgedview. Regards Rick.
