I wanted to check to make sure my logic is correct, and if so, then perhaps I should raise a bug report.  Here is the scenario.  A man gets married and has a child (ChildA).  He then remarries and now has another child (ChildB).  If I run the relationship chart with ChildA and ChildB, it shows a half-sibling relationship.  It says at the top "ChildA is the half sibling of ChildB". This is correct.  Now, if ChildA has a child (ChildC),  and I run the relationship chart with ChildC and ChildB, if I am correct, ChildB would be the aunt/uncle of ChildC.  The relationship chart shows no relationship (at least in words).  Is this because the chart does not think there is a relationship, or does the fact that the path is shown indicate there is the relationship, but for some reason, the words "ChildB is the aunt/uncle of ChildC" does not appear, and this would be a bug?  In other words, if my brother has a son, and I run the relationship chart, it says I am the uncle of that child.  But if it is my half-brother, it does not say the same, even though my half-brothers son is still my nephew, correct?

    Thanks,
    Doc

    You're right: "words fail us"

You can raise a bug report, but I don't think you'll get much action on this.  Just about all the developers have stopped doing anything significant with PGV, because the US government has placed ridiculous export restrictions on all programs that contain or use "encryption".  These restrictions are incompatible with the "open source" licenses that PGV (and others) must also adhere to.

Stupid US government, if you ask me.  Since when is a genealogy program a "military secret"?????  PGV is using an encryption algorithm that's freely available and has been published umpteen times already.  How can that be a "secret"?  Why close the barn door when the horses have already bolted?  Stupid US government.

    Isn't this relationship a "half-nephew" or "half-uncle" ?

I believe you are correct.  But the original point would still apply.  It would be nice if it stated the relationship.  Can someone point to the file that determines what to print on the screen.  Perhaps I can muddle through the code and figure out if I can fix it.
