I had 2 problems. The first one was that on some of the pages, the source code was displayed rather than the expected output. I fixed this buy setting "short_open_tag = On" in my php.ini file. Now the only problem seems to be that the language files aren't being accessed. The only thing I see on the pages are the letter "I" where text should be. You can see for yourself at www.laframboise-tribe.com/genealogy . I tried different languages and that didn't help either. Any ideas? I really like the looks of phpGedView and plan on using it for my family website. Thanks.

I went to the site today (Dec 26) and it seems to be working now. Could you post what the problem was and how you fixed it?
Thanks,
John

I'm not seeing the text under the icons. And when I look at other places, text should be it seems to be missing. This is what makes me think it's not finding the language file. I clicked on my own link after you said it was working and I still don't see any change. I tried both Netscape and IE so I don't think it's the browser. I'm running phpNuke but phpGedView is running as a standalone program in it's own dir. All directories and file have the permissions set correctly both on the file system and with apache. I have tried both the tarball and zip distros and have the same problem. I really hope we can find the solution to this. Thanx for the help.

My bad. After clearing my cookies and temp files, I was able to see everything. I'm tickled pink about this. My family has been waiting for me to get this running and I was afraid to put it online until it was working. So now I can link to it from my main page. Thanks for a great program.
