TMK, no one has yet tested PHP 5.4 with PGV, nor anything higher than Apache 2.2. You may have made innocent errors in the configuration, or there may be several things inherent in those support products that conflict with PGV. If the latter, there is little hope unless you discover the conflicting code since there are really no active developers here. -Stephen

I can tell you that PHP v5.4.0 is posing no problems with my webtrees installation. I haven't tried it on my 4.3 PGV as I was already having some other issues there and need to do a fresh installation. -Stephen

I can now assure you that the latest PGV code will run under PHPv5.4.0. I have not tested all conditions, but installation and general navigation and edit operations are without incident (so far).

Hi,
I am on the latest SVN. I recently upgraded to apache 2.4.1 and php 5.4.0.
I am unable to import/upload the gedcom. I am also not able to edit the configuration.
It shows me a blank page. There are no php errors or anything else in the apache log.
It looks like both use editconfig_gedcom.php.
I am able to perform these operations successfully with PHP 5.3.3 and apache 2.2.1.
How can I debug/investigate what is going wrong with the new setup?
Thanks,
Sridhar

Hi Sridhar,
The current recommended release of apache (http://projects.apache.org/projects/http_server.html) is 2.2.22.
The current beta release is 2.3.16-beta.
I'm not sure what kind of release 2.4.1 is - but if you're using it and know what you're doing you don't need our advice.
If you do need our advice - go back to Apache 2.2.22.

Sridhar,
Your symptoms match this post:

Apparently you may need to edit httpd.conf to add 'add handler' lines (apache 2.4).
