When I add a son ordaughter in V3 alpha, I receive the following message:
The $pid variable was empty. Unable to perform addchildaction.
The child is however added to the GEDCOM file.

Hi Meliza,
The option to add an unlinked individual has been removed from the program now. Primary reason for this is that we decided that PGV is a viewer and not an editor. Another reason is that adding an unlinked person will cause broken links in your gedcom.
The option to add an unlinked person has been removed. On the indi-details screen however, there are still options to add new persons, and linking them to a family in one action.
I think these are the functions Meliza means...

The GDBI sister project can be used for this. It is an editor for GEDCOMS. It can be found at https://sourceforge.net/projects/gdbi/
