From imported Gedcom files, each fact is shown together with a display of its record file number (in bold) as last line of a fact.
Why is this displayed? Is it useful in some situations?
I could not find a configuration option to hide the display of this field.
Could this be a handy option?

Manage GEDCOM > EDIT PRIVACY > HIDE TAG > Record File Number (or whatever you wish) > ALL or ADMIN only > or USERS

    Stephen,
I did: Manage GEDCOM > EDIT PRIVACY file > Global Fact Privacy Settings  > Record File Number  and choosed both for "Show Fact" and "Show Fact Details" the "Hide even from admin users".
Still I see the Record File Number in each fact box. E.g. I see for a person in each of the fact boxes for Birth, Marriage and Death 3 different Record File Numbers displayed (in bold as last line in each box).
I checked afterwards once more if the privacy setting I made was saved well; it was.
    Did I overlook something?

Don't think you overlooked anything, unless you don't have privacy enabled for the overall GEDCOM (unlikely). More promisingly its a bug with RFN and REFN displaying regardless of settings.  This may be related to bug 2961171. If the same, post your comments there or if different, submit a new bug report.

I read bug 2961171. Could be related, but thought better to submit a new bug report. Thanks.
