I just completed a new installation running localy on a win2k, apache2, php4 setup. I don't get any drop down menus when I pass the mouse over or click on buttons like help, lists, charts, etc. It works ok when I access other phpGedView sites over the internet so i guess my browser is ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ed

Hi Ed,
The dropwdown menus are Javascript based. Does the zoombox work? Or the Find Id links?
Very strange. Btw, which PHP version?
Regards,
Roland

Sorry, I have tried but I can't get my server to connect via my radio router.
Since I installed apache, php, mysql and phpGedView one after the other and was fiddling with the settings for all three as I went along, I'm going to uninstall/reinstall phpGedView and see if that helps.

Hi Roland
PHP version is 4.3.8
Results when using zoombox are ambiguous but the Find Id links definitely works.
With "script error notification" turned on in my browser I get the following error message when passing the mouse over the lists button...
Line: 2
Char: 32
Error: Expected ';'
URL: http://localhost/phpgedview/pedigree.php?rootid=I5
This is followed by lots more error messages all complaining "Object exprected".
I get similar results on other pages wherever I expect to see a drop down list.
Thanks for your time,
Ed
Ed,
It looks like you are running locally. Is there any chance we could get a URL to your site so that we can access it.
You might also check your error log and see if there are any notices in there.

I just tried using 127.0.0.1 in the url rather than localhost and it worked! Also it works when I connect my laptop over lan my lan.
Any ideas anyone? I'm using apache2 on win2k
