I'd like to connect two people over two diffferent GEDCOM databases on the same server. There is a function with source, but it don't work. I am able to connect two people, but I thought, if I change an entry on one database, the entry should be updated on the other database. Isn't that like that?
Thanks for helping in this case…..

Correct - it does NOT function in that fashion, and the procedure and results are buggy at best. It was a nice idea that never worked right. My recommendation - don't do it. Add a link in the body of your main INDI personal facts (or as a note) to the other person's INDI page on the other GEDCOM. -Stephen

Stephen,
In regards to "Add a link in the body of your main INDI personal facts" - Do you have an example of how you would do this. I know how I would put it in a note but I am curious as to how else it could be done.
Thanks!

The reason for the link (why) is the driving force behind the how. I would not suggest just a LEVEL 1 note or Shared NOTE, as these would not appear on the INDI personal facts tab.
Level 2 notes do show, under the NAME elements, under BIRTH, DEATH, MARRIAGE, etc. Also, nothing prevents you from using a level 2 ASSO tag either.
For level 1 tags, there are a ton to use. FACT for
1 FACT Cousin
2 TYPE Cousin Link
2 NOTE place your URI/URL here
or for a particular event
1 EVEN Marriage of a friend
2 TYPE Attended marriage
2 NOTE URI/URL here
3 CONT here you can describe more about the event and the reason for the link
Similarly, there are other tags you could use. -Stephen

That's awesome! I didn't know that you could do this. The way that I ended up setting it up is as follows:
1 FACT Please use the URL in the note to view a more complete entry for this individual in a separate database.
2 TYPE Link to External Database
2 NOTE http://…
Thanks!
