phpMyAdmin on the server is telling me Table 'potain_phpGed.pgv_users' is read only as is the Cpanel MySql repair tool.
Fixed it - don't ask me why this worked but exported the table to my local computer (where it worked OK) and exported it back on to the server. No repair required!!!
One question I still have though is should the table be read only on the server ? Should I get the support people at the web host to look into this?
Thanks
Jean

Hi - exact same problem with me, after upgrading from PGV 4.1.6 to 4.2.3, following upgrade instructions exactly!
Seemed to be working for a while, then I kept seeing a configuration /setup menu inserted on website home page - clicking on this caused all hell to break loose

Replacing config.php with original version used under PGV 4.1.6 restores functionality, however, clicking on the "Tree" tab for any individual, for example, caused the installation wizard to be displayed again. Following the steps in configuration wizard, all seems well until step 2 - database connection. as soon as this step commences, The website displays message "Your current database configuration is bad. Please check your database connection parameters and configure again.
SQLSTATE Access denied for user 'b13_368692'@'192.168.0.115' (using password: YES) ." - although all the database details appear to be unchanged from when they were working correctly under PGV 4.1.6..

Hello
I suddenly received this Fatal error message on the website:
Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 126 Incorrect key file for table './potain_phpGed/pgv_users.MYI'; try to repair it' in /home/potain/public_html/includes/classes/class_pgv_db.php:838 Stack trace: #0 /home/potain/public_html/includes/classes/class_pgv_db.php(838): PDOStatement->execute(Array) #1 [internal function]: PGV_DBStatement->__call(Array, Array) #2 /home/potain/public_html/includes/functions/functions_db.php(2745): PGV_DBStatement->execute('execute', Array) #3 /home/potain/public_html/includes/authentication.php(141): set_user_setting() #4 /home/potain/public_html/includes/session.php(679): userUpdateLogin(Array) #5 /home/potain/public_html/config.php(79): require_once('/home/potain/pu...') #6 /home/potain/public_html/index.php(28): require('/home/potain/pu...') #7 {main} thrown in /home/potain/public_html/includes/classes/class_pgv_db.php on line 838
I tried to resolve it by restoring both the database and home directory from backups but it hasn't made any difference. Is this fixable?
Any help gratefully accepted. Many thanks.
Jean
