I have just upgraded to 4.2.4 from 4.2.2. I get an error message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /……………./ellisfamilytree/PhpGedView/includes/session.php on line 319
Any ideas how to fix this? I have tried re-uploading this file, but it doesn't help, and i can't get into my site at all.

This might have been because I deleted the .htaccess file to show it should use php5 instead of php4. I have now added this file, but am now getting a server error!

This error is definitely caused by some code that requires PHP5.  We can't help you with your server error, and we won't be removing any code that requires PHP5.

I have fixed the php problem, so it will now recognise php5.
However, the problem I am now getting is an error message:-
Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.

This appears to be a browser issue.  Please anser these questions:

    (a) server operating system and version
    (b) remote PC operating system
    (C) remote system browser

Did you try accessing your site with other browsers?

I am going to open a new topic on this and answer your questions there, as this is not a parse error any more.
