We have a phpGEDview website - canadianroots.info - 2775 records; 663 surnames, hosted on Justhost.com.  Recently our technical guru passed away with no immediate successor.  We are very concerned about continuing the website.   We need either a techie to help us maintain the site; or to help us export the data to some kind of hosted/managed service.  Eric - (613) 688-1570.

Downloading a copy of the GEDCOM is easy. Just go to the Administration pages.
Getting your user data will require a SQL download. Also easy, but you will need access to the database. We would recommend you obtain a copy thereof. If you have access, use phpMyAdmin or a C-Panel device. If you don't, contact the site host for a possible backup copy.

We would not recommend you remain with PGV, but to transition to webtrees. webtrees is a most viable replacement with strong similarities (it is a fork of PGV) that is in very active development. However, you will need a PGV installation to use with the webtrees  import wizard to move users (if you have any) and preferences.

There are those that host PGV installations here that may be able to help, and there are excellent webtrees hosting specialists in the margins of the webtrees.net site.
